What’s been going on behind the scenes!!

It’s been sometime so we thought we should share with you what’s been going on in Lillye world!

With Stef our dreaded-hair loving drummer now settled into his beastly role, having smashed through festivals Wallapalooza and Amped festivals, we are looking forward to getting out amongst it more often. Both festivals were killer days with all bands absolutely slaying it!! We were stoked to see our record label buddies A Breach Of Silence on the Wallapalooza festival with us. Great shows and awesome vibes indeed!!

In between tightening up our live musical threads, we have been locked away in the studio writing new material for our next album due out 2020. Fresh tunes are being laid down with one track already locked in with a video already shot and ready to be released…. but we will keep you waiting till the time is right!

We have some exciting shows coming up to end the year… First up in the calendar we are sharing the stage with US rap-rockers Crazytown!! Best known for their hugely popular single, ‘Butterfly’, we can’t wait to party like its early 2000 again! We will be joining them on their Sydney show on 5th December at The Burdekin, in Darlinghurst. Also on the line up are Mixtape For The Drive and Lit Up. Contact us for hard copy tickets!! Gonna be a kick ass show!!

Second show announcement is Blaze Festival in Geelong on 7th December at The Barwon Club Hotel. This will be our first time in the southern part of Victoria and excitement is brewing! With bands like Desecrator, Demonhead, The Resignators and Muscle Car this is sure to be one hell of a day! This is the first time this festival has travelled to Geelong so grab a ticket, come down say hi and let’s kick off the day with some serious raucous fun!

Our final show for 2019, will be #BandTogether… A charity concert for the NSW Bushfire Appeal. The NSW Bush fires of November 2019 have been well documented as being catastrophic. Thanks to Silverback Touring, we have been selected to play at Crowbar in Sydney on December 22nd. We are proud to be up alongside our brothers and sisters of the rock n’ roll scene in Sydney, giving back to all those effected and involved including the Rural Fire Service and Wires. Every cent raised through tickets sales and merchandise will be donated. It will be an awesome day with bands such as The Art, Bad Moon Born, Dept. of Gloom, Eight Ball Junkies, Molly & The Krells and Screaming Eagle, delicious food to satisfy your tastebuds and chilled drinks… good times are assured. This is one event not to be missed!!

We hope we can catch up with you at one of the shows mentioned above… Be great to see how you are all doin and celebrate the ending of another great year!!

Till then… back to the studio we go!!

New Music Video is Released!!

Our brand new music video ‘Brittle Glass’ is released world-wide today through Eclipse Records!

It stars one of our fans Johnno who has moves that just can’t be described.. you have to see them to believe them.

Directed and shot by Julian Crupi and Lillye’s own vocalist, Virginia Lillye, the video takes you on a journey through the suburban streets of Sydney with Johnno  displaying his dance moves.

The song is about believing in and being yourself no matter what other people may think. We don’t know anyone who’s a better example of that than Johnno!

Gilby Clarke Support in Canberra

We are super excited and stoked to be asked to be the main support band for Kilby Clarke in Canberra!

Gilby Clarke needs no introduction to rock fans. He played in both Guns N’ Roses and the MC5. Who else can claim membership in two of the most life-altering rock ’n’ roll outfits to ever exist on the planet? Clarke hit the stage with his GN’R running buds at the 2012 Rock ’n’ Roll Hall of Fame induction ceremony – he appeared on the band’sThe Spaghetti Incident, Live Era ’88-’91 and Greatest Hits albums, and spent years on the massive Use Your Illusion world tour in the ’90s – but his proudest GN’R moment is, he says, the Gilby rolls mode on the GN’R pinball machine!

Before joining the GN’R circus, the guitarist bounced from the great Candy to his own, heartbreakingly ignored, big-riff quartet Kill for Thrills. Clarke has, along the way, toured, and/or recorded with everyone from Nancy Sinatra to Heart to Gene Simmons to Slash’s Snakepit. In between touring & recording he was making videos with not only GNR, but Michael Jackson & Slash when MTV was de rigueur. Perhaps you saw him starring alongside Mötley Crüe’s Tommy Lee on Rockstar: Supernova or VH1 Honors with Rob Zombie, Slash & Ace Frehely?

Then there’s his solo career that earned him critical winks and sales for such albums as Pawnshop Guitars (including the American hits“Cure Me … Or Kill Me,” and “Tijuana Jail”), The Hangover (two songs made Bruce Willis’ The Story of Us), Rubber, 99 Live & Swag.

Clarke, who’s an old school mash-up of Keef, Johnny Thunders, andB.B. King, continues to write fist-jacking rock ’n’ roll songs with fat choruses, and appear on stages around the globe. He produces worthy bands too. He’s also one of the sweetest gents you’ll ever meet. He’s a guitar hero, certainly, but also a gentleman whose heart happens to rush at rock ’n’ roll speed.

Gilby is hitting the east coast of Australia for some intimate, sweaty, raw, totally Rock ‘n’ Roll shows! Gilby will be ripping up a selection of hits from his past bands Guns N Roses, Slash’s Snakepit, RockStar Supernova, MC5 and much more with full back up band! Joining him in Canberra will be Sydney hard hitting rock band Lillyè, also supporting will be Screaming Eagle and Johnny Roadkill.
